Hello everybody out there in farm country. The John Block radio commentary is brought to you by the Council for Bioteclmology Information.

What an interesting experience! Recently I visit the Monsanto experiment laboratories in Chesterfield, MO. I can report to you the world of biotechnology promises to be a world of wonder and unbelievable value to all of mankind -- not just fanners. For more information about biotech, visit the Council's web site at www.whybiotech.com.

And now for today's commentary... I thought we would never get a President. But we did. Just in time for Christmas. A lot of political blood was spilled. We didn't need Jessie Jackson out there trying to incite a riot. He should get a job. In the end, the process worked. As American we can be proud of that. Now, the hard part begins. At Christmas -- in the new year -- the new millennium.

Here is a song for the occasion....

(25 seconds)

Anyway, we're asking now as we celebrate Christmas. Christmas is more than presents. Christmas is about love and friendship, caring and giving, family and friends and most of all to celebrate the birth of Christ. God, we're grateful for all our many blessings.

And, God, I know you'll help George Bush bring our country together and heal our political wounds.

(Last verse of song.)

Have a Merry Christmas. Until next week, I am John Block from Washington.
